Meet the Team

Ken Connors is the manager here at Like New Car Care, and has been with us for eight years. He is the tinting specialist, as he has been tinting windows since 1986. Ken has been known to be sporting new injuries or showcasing old scars with a tale between him and one of his many birds. Ken is always on the losing end of those battles.

Joseph has been working at Like New for eight years. He is an undercoat technician and an eight year spray on liner technician. If you are in the shop and think you hear a dance club nearby, that's just Joey trying to relive his teen years while doing undercoats in his bay.

Darren Hutchison

Darren Hutchison

Darren has been detailing for 17 years and specializes in detailing & cut polishing dark vehicles. Darren is known to be the top contributor to Ken’s yearly vacations by his continued purchases of Coke from Ken’s vending machine.
Glen is back after a short hiatus where he realized the grass is NOT always greener on the other side. Glen is a shop detailer that has been with us for around 4 years total. He is a certified mechanic and he takes on the task of solving leaky vehicles. Glen is the shop "Know-It-All" who likes to share his opinion on everything.

Shayla is one of the shop's detailers. She has been with Like New over 6 months. Shayla loves cars and finds detailing fun. She has also been known to drive around with an upside down Vancouver Island decal...that is until the graphics department gave her a geography lesson and corrected it when she wasn't looking.

Marina is the shop's graphic designer. She was raised on the East Coast and moved to Vancouver Island in the 90’s. After many years in customer service and banking she went back to school & completed the Communication Design program at North Island College, graduating in 2012. After graduation Marina moved back east to be close to her family while running her own small design business. She moved back to Vancouver Island in 2016 and decided to get into the sign and graphics business. You never know when Marina is going to just burst out in song. She has also been known to dance like nobody is watching and sometimes gets surprised when she finds out a customer IS watching.

Marina is the shop’s graphic designer. She was raised on the East Coast and moved to Vancouver Island in the 90’s. After many years in customer service and banking she went back to school & completed the Communication Design program at North Island College, graduating in 2012. After graduation Marina moved back east to be close to her family while running her own small design business. She moved back to Vancouver Island in 2016 and decided to get into the sign and graphics business. You never know when Marina is going to just burst out in song. Cheyanne is the shop's window tinter and Paint Protection applicator. She is also the shop's application technician for partial wraps and also looks after decorative vehicle details such as racing and rally stripes. This is a rare photo of the elusive Cheyanne as she has been known to run faster than a Gazelle when a camera is in the vacinity.
